Little Forest Natural Baby Products
Inc. is proud to offer safe, natural and effective products of the highest quality.
What we like to reinforce that the best way to become a successful Independent Consultant
is to become a "product of the products". When someone uses and loves
our product, it is obvious and selling becomes a natural byproduct of a conversation.
Since the products work, and work well, we would never want our representatives
to feel they need to resort to high-pressure sales techniques. Selling should simply
be a part of a natural interaction between interested parties.
Product knowledge is the key to effective
selling. That means not only knowing why the product is superior to other products,
but also knowing the numerous ways in which Little Forest products can be used by
all members of the family. All members of the family should be encouraged to enjoy
the benefits of using Little Forest products. Also, when the entire family uses
the products, your sales are much greater than if the products are just used on
the baby. It is always okay for adults to use Little Forest products, but it is
not always okay for adult products to be used on babies, because those products
may be too harsh or irritating. A detailed list of Little Forest products and their
various uses can be found in the Product section.
There are two main paths one can
take in selling Little Forest products. Although these are separate paths, they
are both effective and both are already a part of your everyday activities. One
path is contacting and sampling to the medical community, such as your pediatrician,
OB/Gyn, midwife, etc., and the other is selling to other parents and grandparents
alongside your daily activities in your community.
Medical Community
Little Forest has always taken great pride in the relationships we have built
with pediatricians. Pediatricians are some of our biggest supporters because they
recognize the great need out there for natural and effective products like Little
Forest's. They also know how difficult it can be to treat fungal-related diaper
rashes without the use of harsh products like Lotrimin. Because of this acceptance
and support, select pediatricians across the country have started to hand out foil
pack samples of two of the Little Forest products (Therapeutic Botanicals: Baby
Lotion & Therapeutic Botanicals: Baby Cream) in an effort to educate parents
and to provide a choice when it comes to soothing and treating symptoms like baby
eczema and diaper rash.
As a Little Forest Independent
Consultant, you should feel comfortable approaching your own child's pediatrician
to discuss the beneficial properties of Little Forest products. Many pediatricians
are already aware of Little Forest products, and those who are not will appreciate
the opportunity to learn more about a higher quality, safer and more effective product.
After discussing our products with your pediatrician, you can offer to leave some
foil pack samples with their office for patients to try free of charge. You may
need to work with the head nurse or office administrator to make sure that the foil
pack samples and your contact information, is visible and accessible to the parents
that visit the office. In order to broaden your medical community, you should also
ask your pediatrician for referrals of other doctors or health care professionals
they know who would be interested in participating in this free sampling program.
Such referrals should make it easier for you to introduce yourself to pediatricians
with whom you were not previously acquainted and also help you avoid the dreaded
cold call.
By providing the pediatricians with
the foil pack samples of the Therapeutic Lotion & Cream along with your business
cards or contact information, you are not only providing a service to your community,
but you are also increasing your own business immensely! As new parents visit their
pediatricians, they learn about Little Forest products while also learning how to
purchase from their Little Forest Independent Consultant. (That's You!)
Imagine a new mother being handed
a sample of Little Forest products by her pediatrician, and then referred to you
when they want more! How many babies do most pediatricians see on a daily basis?
One an hour? Eight per day? Or is it 16? Maybe 32? It all depends on the doctor,
and how they schedule their patients. The point is that all of these are
new parents who may potentially start purchasing Little Forest products from you!
And the only thing that may be better than your endorsement to a new parent as a
friend and fellow parent, is the endorsement of their pediatrician. Just start thinking
about the possibilities!
Let's say that each pediatrician
saw, on average, 16 patients a day; that's 80 patients a week, and 320 patients
per month. We've found that a very large number of new parents (close to 50%) want
to buy Little Forest products after they have received samples from their pediatrician.
But, for this exercise, let's be very conservative and say that just 5% of those
parents receiving samples will place an order with you. So, each month on
average, 16 new families (5% of 320 patients) will place their initial orders (@$50)
with you, which would produce a base of $800 per month. Just that alone would put
you at the Diamond Independent Consultant level, where you would be receiving
an additional 15% credit on your purchases. And we are just talking about one pediatrician
sampling Little Forest products in your area!
Now, imagine if you signed up just
5 pediatricians in your area. You could expect to sell about $4,000 in just initial
orders per month! And since on average, Little Forest families spend about $40 in
replenishment orders per month, soon you could expect over $3,000 in reorders from
those same families if they were using the products as we recommend. Now that would
make you one of our Platinum Independent Consultants, receiving a 25% credit
on all your purchases. And, again, this example only has you signing up 5 pediatricians!
Pediatricians are not the only potential
alliance you can form within the medical community. Sampling the Daily Botanicalsä:
Baby Lotion to any individual or group that focuses on pre-natal care and health
can be very effective. Studies have suggested that when a product is introduced
to a mother before she has her baby, her loyalty to that brand is 300% higher
than when that product is introduced to her after she has her baby. Midwives,
doulas, OB/Gyn's, and birthing centers are all excellent contacts to have because
of their relationships with new parents. Taking the time to explain the Little Forest
philosophy, as well as letting them smell and try the products, should be a pleasant
and rewarding experience. You can then leave them with some foil pack samples and
business cards to give to their clientele. This is a great opportunity to make friends
and establish relationships that will form the foundation of your own Parent to
Parent network.
We hope you are as excited about
this opportunity as we are. As you can see, the potential here is wonderful. By
contacting the medical community in your area, you are putting yourself in a position
to be contacted by hundreds of interested parents. These parents contact you already
familiar with the Little Forest brand name, and eager to learn more about it. As
parents use and grow fond of Little Forest products, they will pass on your name
to their friends and family, spreading your network of clients exponentially.
Your Community
Parents often do not realize
how many opportunities they have to introduce Little Forest products to other parents
on a daily basis. Bringing the product to your friends, families and neighbors is
only the first step. Some of the places you visit everyday are often the most natural
setting to discuss the Little Forest products. Areas we have found full of potential
are: daycare centers, schools & camps of older siblings, parks,
playgroups, Lamaze classes, birthday parties, baby showers,
shopping malls and grocery stores. Anywhere where parents congregate
is an ideal setting to share your experiences and knowledge with other parents.
It is always appropriate to inform other parents of a product that is much gentler
and much safer for their children and themselves.
