Q: How do I get started?
A: In order to resell Little
Forest products, you may want to get a seller's permit from your state tax board.
If you do not have a sellers permit on file with us, you will be charged tax on the FULL RETAIL price
of what you order.
Residents in all states will need to get a Seller's Permit / Sales Tax Number from
your local State Revenue Board. For a list of State Revenue Boards please go to:
http://www.irs.ustreas.gov/smallbiz/practitioner/governmentsites.aspx or
contact us directly 415.601.9669. Without this permit we will have to charge
full retail price and sales tax on all Little Forest Product orders we fill. Once
you have obtained this permit, we require that you fax or mail us a copy for our
records. You will need this permit in order to properly collect sales tax from your
customers and to report your income.
Some states will also require that
you get a business license in order to sell products to the general public. Business
licenses are obtained through your county or city government agencies (City Hall).
The IRS has a great website that can walk you through all of the appropriate steps
to setting up your own business: http://www.irs.gov/smallbiz/newbusiness/index.aspx.
Of course you will need to report
this income when you file your taxes. For questions on reporting this income please
go to www.irs.gov, or call 800-829-1040.
We suggest you consult your own professional
legal and tax advisors regarding these important matters. Little Forest does not
provide legal or tax advice.
Q: Are there order minimums?
A:
No! Your annual membership fee is what determines if your account is active or not.
Q: What if a retail store is interested
in buying Little Forest products?
A: At this time, Little Forest
is focusing entirely on our Parent to Parent network to actively sell its products
directly to consumers. Please do not approach any retail stores.
Q: What if one of my customers
wants to return their products? What is the return policy?
A: Little Forest always stands
behind our product 100% and will issue a complete refund for any product returned
by the consumer within 30 days after shipment. Simply refund the customer's money,
take back the product in question, and call Little Forest to credit your account.
Little Forest does request that you notify us of the customer return within 30 days
of that return in order for us to credit your account. Independent Consultant accounts
will only be eligible for credit if Little Forest is notified in writing of the
return within 30 days of that return. See the return policy.
Q: What if I decide I no longer
want to be an Independent Consultant?
A: If you decide you no longer
want to sell Little Forest products at any time you can arrange to get an RA # (Return
Authorization Number) with Little Forest to return your current unused/unsold inventory,
and receive a refund for 80% of its purchase price (to allow for restocking). Little
Forest will allow Independent Consultants to return this inventory for a
refund within the first 30 days of their termination date. Unfortunately we cannot
issue refunds for products returned after 30 days from termination date. The Independent
Consultant must pay the shipping costs to return the inventory to Little
Forest, LLC.
